Yes, Michael Jordan is a customer of ours, and he has a squeeze page, an auto responder, and a pretty sweet real estate deal. He also shared with me a FANTASTIC GUERRILLA MARKETING TIP! You will find it toward the end of this article.

OK, I suppose I should tell you that it is not the famous basketball player, but his name is Michael Jordan, and he and the basketball players father were in business together at one time. What a coincidence huh? I also suspect this investor will become famously rich! He is a real go getter.

Now, I know you have heard a lot about web 2.0, and landing or squeeze pages, and there are some companies out there charging $900.00 or more for programs that walk you through squeeze page creation and marketing. $900.00 or more to talk you through it?


I would highly recommend you check out Marketing Sherpa if your willing to pay $900.00 for a "do it yourself program". These guys have years and years of research behind them and make some of the best information available on the web about marketing, landing pages and search engine optimization. They are THE BEST. They are REAL marketing gurus and have years of science and test pages behind their information and products.

Here is how Michael has his working.

First, we set Michael up with a very basic squeeze page. He does not have a hero graphic yet, but he needed something to market for this weekend so we moved quickly to get this in place. You can see and subscribe to his property list here if you want to get an idea of how it works from the user perspective.

Next, we installed a component in his squeeze page to capture names e-mails. When you give your name and e-mail, the person gets a confirmation email to confirm their subscription to the list. Once they confirm, they are redirected to a page of your choice. In Michael's case, it redirects them to the current deal he is marketing, but come Monday, he will redirect it to his Instant Real Estate Investor website where he has many property listings available.

Finally, we created a flier. We actually quartered it up so that there was 4 ads per sheet that he cut. Each sheet has this fantastic deal he is working this weekend. It also has his squeeze page address on it.

GUERRILLA MARKETING TIP!

Now this is really great. Michael is taking these small ads to several property auctions and paying some kids to put them on peoples windshields. WHAT A GREAT IDEA! All those people at the auction are motivated buyers looking for a deal!! He is also dropping off stacks to real estate brokers.

I thought this was so smart I had to include it in the article.

So, as I type this Michael is out there having kids place an ad like the one on the right of every windshield at several property auctions. These people are looking for deals.

Michael did not pay $900.00 to complete this project.
